Airtel 5G Plus will work with any 5G device and customer's existing SIM card, he said. Sunil Mittal, founder and chairman of Bharti Enterprises, announced the launch of 5G services in eight cities of the country on October 1. The company spokesperson said that the customer will be able to avail the services as per their 4G plan. He said that Airtel customer can switch to 5G to get 5G signal in their area. If the customers feel that the data cost on 5G is getting high then they can go back to 4G network. Reaching 5G is optional, the spokesperson said. Currently, 5G models from Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, Realme and OnePlus are compatible with Airtel 5G Plus service.
