After the cancellation of the circular dated 1-8-18, the Government of Gujarat announced that advertisements have been made for government jobs, but for the vacancies where the examination process is pending, it has been instructed to proceed further after the status quo. In the next five months, more than 20,000 youths in the state will get a wide range of job opportunities.


There will be new employment opportunities in government departments. Appointment letters will be issued immediately after the recruitment process is completed. Thus, the questions regarding the recruitment process will be put to rest.




About 8000 posts will be filled. Work on the recruitment process for the remaining government jobs will start after the coronation period. Thus, more than 20,000 youths in the state will get government job opportunities. At the same time, young men and women preparing for government jobs will now be able to speed up their preparations. One and a half lakh recruitments have been made in various departments of the state in the last four years. The stalled government job recruitment will now be done immediately. Examinations will be taken after Corona's condition returns to normal.

  In order to adopt a uniform policy in this regard, under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Nitinbhai Patel, the State Government has reduced the basic salaries of MLAs and office bearers by 20% from April, 2020 to one year.  It has decided to amend the relevant laws by issuing an ordinance providing for the period to be implemented.


The Minister said that as the provisions of this ordinance need to be brought in the form of a bill in the next session of the Legislative Assembly, it has been decided to bring this Bill in the meeting of the State Cabinet held today.  And this bill will be introduced in the next assembly session and will be given the form of law with the approval of the House.

With this decision of the state government, the salaries of office bearers and MLAs have been reduced to Rs.  2 crore 3 lakh will be saved. 

The amount can be used to cover the cost of the fight against Corona.  In addition, the Minister said that in the same way that the salaries of MLAs and other office bearers have been reduced by 50 per cent for one year, the salaries of retired employees / officers appointed by the State Government on contract basis will also be reduced by 50 per cent for a period of one year.

The Chief Minister has further expanded the scope of the law to crack down on cyber criminals, including physical violence as well as intimidation, including illegal levy of interest on money lenders, sexual offenses and sexual harassment.  Determined.  The Chief Minister has been an ardent advocate of strong legal system in the foundation of building the best of Gujarat from the best to the best.  Shri Vijaybhai Rupani is proposing to bring an ordinance in the next cabinet meeting to amend the Act to crack down on the rising incidence of crimes like sexual harassment, including cyber technology related crimes.  In order to control the activities of anti-social elements in the state of Gujarat, the Gujarat Prevention of Anti-Social Activities Act (aspect) 18 has been implemented.  As per the provisions of the Act under this Act, persons committing offenses under IPC and the Arms Act, persons who are intimidated, persons who seize private and government property as well as persons involved in drug trafficking, drug offenders, drug dealers, drug dealers, drug addicts  Criminals connected with trade, people who kill and sell cows and bootleggers who trade in liquor illegally can be arrested using the provisions of the Asa Act.
