The education department of Gujarat has taken an important decision for the students of class 9 to 12. In which from now the students of class 9 to 12 will get an opportunity to change the medium.

The Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has passed a resolution that students studying in medium including Gujarati and English in class 9 to 12 can change the medium by the first semester. Students will now be able to switch mediums including Gujarati and English. For that, students have to apply to the DEO in the first semester itself.

The parents demanded that the students be given an opportunity to change medium

Students are studying in different mediums including English and Gujarati in secondary and higher secondary schools of the state. These students cannot change the medium as a result of which they suffer. Hence, parents and students demanded that students studying in different mediums should be given an opportunity to switch mediums.

A decision was taken in the interest of the students in the education committee meeting

Hence, keeping in mind the interest of the students, in the meeting of the Education Committee of the Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, a discussion was held regarding allowing the students studying in class 9 to 12 to change their medium. At the end of the discussion, the executive committee ordered that the students studying in the medium including Gujarati and English in class 9 to 12 can change the medium by the first semester.
