Used cars come cheap but with that comes the risk that if you find a car in bad condition then it could end up costing you a lot. That is why it is essential that whenever you buy a second hand car , you should check it thoroughly and only then decide to buy the car .
It often happens that people do not maintain the car properly and then sell it when the car reaches a bad condition. If you buy such a car even by mistake , you may regret it later. So let us tell you what five things you should keep in mind while buying a used car .
Engine
The engine is the most complicated part of a car. If there is a problem with this, it can cost you a lot. So get the car engine checked by a mechanic. Also show it to a trusted mechanic. Insist on buying it only after it passes the engine.
Suspension and Steering Check the suspension and steering of the car as well. If any of these sounds are coming, see which object is making the noise. Both these car parts are very expensive. If you have to replace the car after buying it, it can cost you a lot.
Electricals
Whenever you go to buy a secondhand car , take an electrician along and show him the car's electricals. After a while, the car's electricals start to fail, which can land you in trouble later.
Rusting Rusting
Is also sometimes a problem in older cars as the car may be constantly soaking in water which causes rusting of its iron parts. So take a good look at the car from all sides. If you think the rust is excessive then don't buy such a car .
Also check the car papers thoroughly to see if the person in front of the papers is cheating you . If you are not able to do this yourself then you can also go to the concerned RTO and get the papers checked.
